These giant lizards are called Monitor Lizards and originally are natives to Africa, Asia, and Oceania. But they have been brought to other parts of the world. Monitor lizards have long necks, powerful tails and claws, and well-developed limbs. An adult length can reach over 3 m. Most monitor lizards are carnivorous, eating eggs, smaller reptiles, fish, birds, insects, and small mammals, some also eat fruit and vegetation.
